Committed to supporting the community, Western Fuel frequently donate to local charities and are proud to sponsor local schools and sports teams.
We recently bought 90 high-visibility vests for Catcott Primary School, to keep the children safe whilst out and about on school trips and swimming lesson excursions. We bought blue vests so that the children could be easily differentiated from other schools, most of which have yellow vests. The children were very impressed and kindly sent us a hand-written thank you letter. We would like to thank Catcott Primary School for reaching out to us and allowing us to support them.
Western Fuel are also committed to supporting local sports teams. We sponsor Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Football Club, South West Cerebral Palsy (SWCP) Football Club, Bridgwater Wolves Under 10s,Wellington AFC, East Huntspill Cricket and Brent Knoll Riding Club! We would like to thank all the teams for sporting our logo on their shirts. Keep up the good work!
Before Christmas, Western Fuel staff raised £160 via a raffle organised within the company. This money was spent on essential food and toiletry items for Highbridge Area Foodbank, a charity which plays a vital role in the community, providing much-needed support to individuals and families struggling to make ends meet. Western Fuel also donated £500 to Westfield URC Rough Sleeping and Homelessness Charity and £500 to Bridgwater Food Bank. We would like to thank the three charities for all the crucial work they do to help people in their time of need.
Western Fuel have supported many other charities and groups, including Wembdon Sunshiners Pre-School, North Petherton Carnival and Ferne Animal Sanctuary, where we also serviced the boiler!
